2019 Junior Golf Program

Ironwood “Level Up Junior Golf Program: (US Kids Learning Program – ages 5-11)

This program uses the incentive based learning program developed by US Kids Golf.  Each level of progression has a learning booklet that creates a fun way for parents and juniors to track progress. Learning is rewarded with progress pins. Pins are awarded for putting, around the green, full swing, golf knowledge and scoring.

Program will run from mid March through September.  You can make it a camp like experience for your junior golfer by purchasing 4 consecutive sessions, or you can make it a season long experience by purchasing more sessions. You can also add sessions throughout the season.

The Ironwood Fall Junior Golf League: will take place on the weekend on the following 9 days:

  • Sunday, August 11
  • Saturday, August 17
  • Sunday, September 1
  • Sunday, September 8
  • Sunday, September 15
  • Sunday, September 22
  • Saturday, September 28
  • Sunday, October 6
  • Sunday, October 13

The league is open to all junior golfers ages 6-18.  Cost per golfer is $250.  Golfers will be assigned tee times between 3:30 and 5:00 (Times may vary by 30 minutes depending on the number of golfers in the league.)  Golfers will also be assigned game improvement/warm up times that will be approximately 60 minutes prior to tee time.  (Again the time may vary some depending on the number of golfers.)  Golfers will play 9 holes from assigned tee markers.  Each golfer must earn the right to move to longer tees by reaching target scores.  There will be tees of appropriate length for the youngest golfers as well.  Junior golfers 11 and under MUST have an accompanying parent transport them by golf cart from green to tee as some of those walks may be long .  Exceptions may be made for experienced younger golfers.  These younger golfers are expected to walk during the holes.  Golfers ages 11-18 must carry or push cart their clubs for 9 holes.  Prizes are awarded for progressing to new tee markers as well as some weekly accomplishments.  Rules, pace of play and etiquette will be taught and reinforced.
