Pool and Tennis Club
The Legends At Geist Pool and Tennis Club- Pool Rules and Regulations
- No one is allowed in the pool or deck area if the pool is closed.
- All members and their guests using the pool and pool area do so at their own risk and sole responsibility.
- Lifeguard
responsibilities are for guarding, maintenance, check-in, and to
enforce all rules. Under no circumstances is their function
baby-sitting.
- An adult or responsible baby-sitter needs to be in
the water at all times with children that cannot swim. Flotation
devices should not be used as the solitary safety measure. Those
children will be removed from the water until a parent or responsible
baby-sitter enters and stays with them at all times.
- The pool will
be cleared for fifteen minutes before every hour for adult swimmers (18
years of age and older). No lifeguard will be on duty at this time.
Adults swim at their own risk.
- The lifeguard or other authorized
personnel may close the pool due to inclement weather conditions
(including temperatures of 69 degrees and colder), safety and health
reasons, inappropriate behavior, etc.
- Children must be at least 12
years old to enter the pool area unaccompanied. Those children will
need to pass a swim test and receive a special member card and may not
bring guests.
- Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a parent or babysitter. The baby-sitter must be at least 15 years old.
- Each
guest must be accompanied by a member. Guest fees: $5.00 per person
over the age of 1 year old. Nonpaying guests will be asked to leave the
premises.
- No person may visit the pool as a guest more than six times per season.
- Members must sign-in each guest at the check-in station.
- Members under the age of 18 years of age will be restricted to two guests.
- Members
and their guests are expected to keep the pool, clubhouse, picnic area,
and all other grounds neat and clean. Please observe litter laws.
- All food and drinks are to be confined to the picnic area.
- No glass is permitted in the pool, picnic or surrounding areas.
- Persons may be removed for effecting the safety of others, inappropriate behavior, language, etc.
- Lifeguards
and all other pool personnel have the right to refuse guest privileges
to any person who violates the rules and regulations for use of the
pool facilities.
- Rude or disrespectful behavior to lifeguards,
pool personnel, and or guests will not be tolerated. Those patrons
that do choose to behave in this manner will be to asked to leave or
may possibly have their membership revoked.
- Shower must be taken before entering any pool.
- No large or potentially dangerous play equipment(balls, rafts, etc.) are allowed in the pool.
- For
health and sanitary reasons babies and other young children still in
diapers must have rubber pants covering their swim diapers. Entry into
pool will NOT be allowed without these! The concession stand has these
on sale.
- Persons have infectious diseases, open sores, recent vaccinations, or ear infections will not be allowed in the water.
- All
bathing suits, life jackets and/or pool toys that have been used in
lakes or oceans must be cleaned before entering pools to help
prevent algae getting into our pools.
- Proper swim attire is
required for all swimmers. Street clothes, cut-offs, etc. are not
acceptable. White t-shirts may be worn for bad sunburn.
- NO diving anywhere in the pool area.
- NO alcoholic beverages will be allowed at the pool or surrounding areas.
- Tennis court lights are on a timer. No glass or alcohol beverages allowed.
- Rollerblades, skateboards, bikes and pets are not allowed on the tennis courts.
- Guests must be accompanied by a member when using the tennis courts.
- The
following could result in immediate termination of a membership;
falsification on a membership application, sharing membership cards
with non-members and/or disclosing the tennis court code to non-members.
- Additional rules and regulations will be posted at the pool and must be followed.
- Additional rules and regulations may be developed as situations arise.
